The tomato says so…

I was losing hope of seeing tomatoes bear fruit since I planted them weeks ago. I started to ask myself, “How long should I wait to see tomatoes bear fruit…? Or maybe not at all?” 😢 “Maybe I am not good enough at this.” “Maybe the soil here is not suitable for growing tomatoes or maybe the sunlight is not enough…” This and that ran into my mind. All but speculations.

But, just this morning as I was sitting doing my devoreading, I caught a glimpse of a tiny green tomato sprouting! 😀

It is very tiny and alone. Yet, this filled me with hope.

Ang galing Mo Lord!!! 🙌👏

Out of unexpectations or in a brink of losing hope, God will fill us with surprises that is truly worth celebrating. 👑🎉

God loves surprises. He is not a boring God..He loves to see us satisfied, filled and fully dependent on Him.

Every day, I see God in a different way. He has different personalities. Jesus has and the Holy Spirit has, too.

How do you fellowship with God the Father?
How do you enjoy the company of Jesus?
And, how do you commune with the Holy Spirit in a daily basis?

God loves to spend time with you more than you could ever imagine.
😊🙌

What is God?

One of my teenage student asked me today in class, “What is god?” She simply wanted to know what is the meaning of the word “god”.

I was literally dumbfounded. “How could I explain this to a child in the simplest way knowing that she is an atheist?”, I asked myself.

Me: God is a supreme being, the creator of everything.

Student: ahhhhh…. I understand.

Sometimes our English literature class turns out to be a bible school/study because most of them just asked prematurely or unexpectedly about out of context topics like God, religion, christianity, faith, etc.

Just sharing this coz I used to be an atheist. I didn’t believe in anything which can’t be explain by science. Though I grew up in pentecostal/evangelical “spirit-filled church” that does not assure me to believe there is a God because I didn’t encounter Him until high school. When God does not draw Himself to you, you will never ever have a personal witness or belief in Him even though people confess that there is a God.

#God gave His Son (Jesus Christ) into the world because He loves us so we will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

🔥🔥🔥
P.S. Her question is objective using “What”. She could have asked “Who is God?” because God himself is an (immortal) being, not a thing. But she didn’t know if its a tree, an animal, a human or what.

She used “What” in her question…”WHAT is god?” and she emphasizes that she really don’t know this word. She wanted to know the meaning of this word 😅.

See, many people around the world don’t even know the meaning of the word god.

“The harvest is plentiful but the harvesters are few.” (Matthew 9:36-68)

This must be the reason why Jesus is delaying His return so that everyone will be caught with Him (saved, purified, blameless, transformed…given grace)
