tornado vs faith

I dreamt of:
A. …myself attending a wedding. All the ladies who are visitors wore white gowns and the men wore tuxedos. I was tasked to call those who have roles in the wedding who were slothful sitting on the bench outside the church feeling shy. I encouraged them to be zealous and be prepared like an army. So, they fall in line to get ready for the wedding procession.

B … a tornado from dawn to morning today. In my dream, a tornado can be seen in the sky through our window. In amazement, I took my phone to capture the moment. My mom scolded me since it’s too dangerous to stay.
Then, our house started to move. Next thing, we went down through the stairs fearing the roof on the second floor might be removed due to the strong wind. However, seconds after, the things in the second floor started to throw themselves and we thought the wooden ceiling would gave up and fall over us below.
The neighborhood was already devastated, we’re the only house left. But we keep holding each other. Soon our house is being shaken as if the foundation is uprooted and the house moved feet away from its original site.
I, with other young people started to pray (apostolic-prophetic prayer). We commanded the wind to stay away and not harm us and it obeyed us. But later as it got stronger, we surrendered our lives to God, praying that if it’s time for us to die, we commit our spirit to the Lord. Nevertheless, we became spiritually stronger and prompted by the Holy Spirit to move away from the house since the monster wind is fast approaching us. We run to the open space. But my mom and other family member were still inside the house. I screamed on top of my voice, calling my mom to get out from the house. No answer. So, I returned to our half-ruined house. At the door, I saw my family with my mom holding a sack of clothes. She tried to secure clothes or other things before we fled for our lives. I felt disappointed to her saying, “Mom, our lives are more important than those things you packed up. Besides, how could you run with those heavy loads?”
Then I woke up.

Wisdom:

A.
Matthew 25:1-13Amplified Bible (AMP)

Parable of Ten Virgins
25 “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps and went to [a]meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish [thoughtless, silly, and careless], and five were wise [far-sighted, practical, and sensible]. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take any [extra] oil with them, 4 but the wise took flasks of oil along with their lamps. 5 Now while the bridegroom was delayed, they all began to nod off, and they fell asleep. 6 But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look! The bridegroom [is coming]! Go out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins got up and put their own lamps in order [trimmed the wicks and added oil and lit them]. 8 But the foolish virgins said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise replied, ‘No, otherwise there will not be enough for us and for you, too; go instead to the dealers and buy oil for yourselves.’ 10 But while they were going away to buy oil, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut and locked. 11 Later the others also came, and said, ‘Lord, Lord, open [the door] for us.’ 12 But He replied, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I do not know you [we have no relationship].’ 13 Therefore, be on the alert [be prepared and ready], for you do not know the day nor the hour [when the Son of Man will come].

B.
Matthew 24:15-18 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Perilous Times
15 “So when you see the [a]ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION [the appalling sacrilege that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place (let the [b]reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains [for refuge]. 17 “Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things that are in his house [because there will not be enough time]. 18 “Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his clothes.

REACT: As I pondered upon my dream, I knew God is speaking to me through the dream. I knew I became so worried about some things (earthly things) these days like house, etc.

Psalms 127:1 says, “Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain.”

In the end, there is one more certain and important, not our properties but our lives. I realized, yes, why do we worry so much about our food, clothes, shelter or other things? We worked so hard acquiring things which don’t have eternal value. When catastrophe strikes, we can’t carry all of them because we’ll be more concern for our refuge, our lives. And still, when havoc struck us, if we are the children of God, we’ll be left unharmed. He is our mighty defender. Our ever-strong arm.
…and Jesus is coming for a perfect bride who make herself ready!

The blessing of family

Days ago, one of my 5 month old kitten died. She’s the closest to me, to the point that she sleeps with me during the night and woke we up at dawn so she’ll poop or pee outside the house.

So eventually, when she got sick, 4 days of not eating anything.. I talked to God. I told Him, “Here we go again Lord. The last time you take all my kittens I knew it because they became my idol. They occupy more of my waking time. But this time, are you dealing again with me? Why is that every time I overly loved my pets, they’ll die?” Then I cried and prayed for my cat, I lay hands to her and speak life to her. But I knew it. She’ll die. God put it in my heart. I knew it, so I was able to accept the fact. God is a jealous God, you know. The problem with me was I’m just too occupied with my pet.

Then 2 days ago, I saw my mom by the gate waiting for me. And I knew it. So I asked her, “Is she already dead?” She’s a little reluctant to answer me, because the last time she saw me cried so much is when my pet cat so dear to me died, that was last year, which I also featured here. I knew that my cat died not because it’s unusual for my mom to be awake by the time I arrived home from work, nor because it’s also unusual for her to stay outside late at night waiting for me. I knew my cat died because the Lord put it in my heart, “She’ll die.”
So what more could I do, but to accept the fact. So I bury her, my mom had just cried. She was surprised by my reaction cause I show no single pain in me. There was even joy inside me. I was released even before the day she died, because Jesus conditioned my heart the time I cried to her asking, “not again Lord..” but He’d answer back, “She would die.” So that news was no surprise to me anymore. He had spoken.

Why people grieve….
It’s not wrong to grieve. In fact, it’s biblical to grieve for your dead loved one, and to cry is a medicine to the soul. The thirst washes the pain away.

However, I learned the fact that the reason why people grieve is because they can not accept the reality of the person’s or any creature’s death or lost yet.
…hence, it’s easier on my part because I accepted the fact, God told me beforehand. Can I reason to Him?

Everything is a matter of decision…
You decide to act on something, telling yourself to do this and that. Like last week, one of the speaker in the bible class I attended to shared on how quick she forgave her dad for murdering her mom. It’s because she decided to forgave him, to act on it by faith. If she didn’t put her faith on God that she’d forgive her dad, she couldn’t look at him directly to the eyes nor could have lived with him peacefully in the same roof.

When I asked my cousin how come he changed. He no longer smoke nor drink. He said, “I just decided. It’s a choice.” Folks, everything is a matter of faith. You put your faith to Jesus, that He’d take care of the things you decided on doing, that He’d help you to consistently do it by renewing your mind, because on the first place He’s the first one to want you to do it.

Since this week’s theme is about family and marriage…allow me to share this.
Last night, my mom confessed to me, “Do you know why you did not grieve for your dead cat? It’s because the moment she died, I prayed to God that He’ll take care of your emotions, that He’ll let you accept it easily and not to grieve over it.” Honestly, I was touched by that motherly confession.
Many times my mom saved me from heartbreak by praying to God to take care of me. That’s moms for! That’s our parents. How many of you did not know that many times our parents are praying for us even it seems they didn’t? That’s how we’re blessed to have parents, so let’s continue honoring them.

The Bible…

bible

#Wow I learned a lot today!

READ the bible to be WISE..
BELIEVE the bible to be SAFE..
and PRACTICE the bible to be HOLY!

The bible contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. The bible is traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christians’ charter.

In the bible, paradise is restored, heaven is opened, and the gates of hell are closed. Christ is its grand subject, our good design, and the glory of God to its end.

The bible should fill the memory, rule the heart, and the guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully.

Read the bible through,
pray the bible in,
give the bible out,
pass the bible on. — Dr. Fensenfeld

The best teacher!

The teaching of Jesus—the richest food and the tastiest.

Today, I remembered My first love.
He said, “Return to me you who hide in the cleft of the rock. Come up my bride.”
Lord Jesus, if my heart is not right with you then tell me.

How wonderful and sweet it is to talk with my Father!

I was reminded of my humble beginning…
Those we’re the days when I was so depressed and sick and wanted to die, days, weeks and months…perplexed, bewildered …and there He rescued me. I was left with videos of Jesus stories (animated version)…simple yet so helpful. Repeatedly, that CD plays as if it never stops from sunrise to sunset till I kiss my pillow to sleep. Each day I was dying, but every day I listened to it, as I watched it and as it slowly envelops my being, captivating my soul, then I was relive, revive or born again. Thank you for your teaching Lord. I could have been lost, but now I’m found.

Mind over matter

“Being a mumbler, a grumbler, a whiner or a complainer does not seem to show that you are ACTIVE. In fact, you are yet as PASSIVE as those who don’t do anything but keep silent, UNLESS you SUGGEST or RESOLVE your situation/ circumstance.”

Many instances like, ‪#‎the‬ Israelites’ wandering for 40 years in the dessert and were not able to enter in God’s rest (promise land) because they are grumbler, complainer, mumbler, whiner…

We don’t realize that God uses our situations to test our hearts. On how are we to react. Are we thankful enough in every situation, whether good or bad? Or are we faithful to Him knowing that tomorrow won’t be the same as today?

Everywhere we go if we keep the same old attitude of being grumbler/ complainer and ungrateful, our situation won’t change.
It’s like, new level, new devil. If you can’t pass stage 1, why would you jump into higher level when you know you’ll just fail as you did in stage 1? Kung di na nimo mapasahan na stage, hantud dra ra jud ka….grade 1 section 12 hantud next year mao lng gihapon repeater, and so on and on…

Dr Cindy Trimms says, “It’s not the people around you who’s got wrong or have some problem, but it’s you because you let them in to your cycle, you let them part into a relationship with you….and you let them hurt you…and you never even pray for it before it comes. But if you start changing your perspective, if you renew your mind, everything else around you will also starts changing including how you’ll react on certain situations.”

Yes, totally agree. We must realize that God sends people to test our characters.
You must thank your enemy’s role in your life! Without them, you can’t learn the true act of LOVE.

Last week lng, I was reminded about the true value of freedom and what real freedom really is after I watched this movie “IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE (1996)” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlpNI7cDEMk) —This true to life movie about injustice’ main character was imprisoned for 15 years for the crime she didn’t committed and when locked inside the “high intensive cell” for 6 months without light, window, a person to talked to and was tortured, she was almost gone mad. To ease her uneasiness, she kept walking back and forth (for the first week) inside a very small prison (bartolina) screaming, “At least, please… I need someone to talk to…!!!”

When asked, “How did you survive?” She simply smiled and said, “Well I realize I can’t change my situation, so instead, I need to change my PERSPECTIVE. So I started to do meditation and was able to have PEACE. They might have my body but not my SOUL.”

It must first begin with what you think.
