Last Days deception

Speaker: Sadhu SundarSelvaraj

READ: Matthew 24:4 says, “They tie up heavy loads and put them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.”

There’s always deception in the last time. Satan is the first deceiver. He started it in heaven. In the last days, deception will reach to its peak.

Joel 2: 28says, “And afterward I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”

Satan will duplicate to divert your attention so that you will not look at the work of God.  Whenever God reveal something new, Satan duplicate to confuse the minds and hearts of God’s people so that you will not look at the truth. But it’s only God through the Spirit can tell what is truth or what is duplicate.

False things to rise up in the last days:

  1. False Crisis – Matthew 24:5 says, “For many will come in my name claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”

Mark 13:25 says, “The stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.”

John 2:18 says, “Then the Jews demanded of Him, ‘What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”

They are sowing seed of deception. When one seed of deception sought in a person, it will bring fruit. A very common approach is: “Let me share something with you so that we can pray for you.” This is how they camouflage with deception. But actually they are not praying but deceiving with their poison, murmuring, slandering.

  1. False Apostles – 1 John 2: 18-24 says, “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrist have come. This is how we know that it is the last hour. They went from us, but they did not really belong to us.For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar? Is it the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.”

Anyone who does not have the fruitof the Spiritare not true. The fruit of the Spirit must exhibit in their life.

Matthew 18: 3, 4 says, “And he said: ‘I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

2 Corinthians 11: 1-15 speaks of apostles’ qualification. He does not care for money, fame but suffer for the Lord. It says, “I hope you will put up with a little of my foolishness; but you are already doing that. I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. But I do not think I am the least inferior to those ‘super-apostles’. I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have the knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way.

Was it a sin for me to lower myself inorder to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge? I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you. And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way and will continue to do so. As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine. Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do! And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”

Qualification of false apostles: false humility, fame seekers, seeking recognition and name and their teachings don’t build up but destroy.

  1. False teachers – is difficult to recognize because they are teaching the word. They are full of greed. Their goal is your checkbook. They connive with pretty teachings.

2 Timothy 4: 3-4 says, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

Isaiah 30: 9-11 say, “These are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction. They say to the seers, ‘See no more visions!’and to the prophets,‘Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. Leave us this way, get off this path, and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!”

2 Peter 2:3 says, “In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they havemade. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.”

You must have the right motive when you give. Don’t treat God like casino.

  1. False prophets – they have covetousness character, greedy after material things

Matthew 7: 15says, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

They come in sheep’s clothing. It’s difficult to identify false prophets. They look very subtle but stealthily introduce destructive teachings. Lying spirit comes from their tongue. Anything that comes from the flesh is not a prophet. For instance, your senses and logic doesn’t work if you’re emotionally in love with someone.

2 Peter 2:1 says, “But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.”

When you’re asking for luxury to boost an ego, it will only result to failure.

It’s not wrong to have material things for our normal living. But covetousness is beyond what is sufficient. For example, I always share this very stupid story. It does not concern others, it concern about me.  1985 was the period of time where the teaching of “name it and claim it” was exported all over the world. Whatever you name it, just claim it even if somebody else says other things. So I wrote those teachings because they are filled-scriptures, isn’t it? You know all these things. I know all of you survive to the 80s. So I was very excited. And during those days, I didn’t have a car so I wrote that teaching: “You must clearly name what you want from God, the mark, the model, the color because God doesn’t know all these things. You must be very specific.” So I memorized all the formula and I kneeled down and prayed, “Lord I want a car, it must be a Rolls Royce, white in color, silver cloud model, Lord did you write all these things?”

In my naiveness, I said exactly the things like that. Everyday I sincerely prayed that prayer. “I claimed this car,” I said because that’s how the preachers had said that you must shout so that God might give what you ask for. What big clowns we are, you know.

So the day while I was walking in the mall, I saw this Rolls Royce car in the car park, white in color, silver cloud model. I said, “Lord, there is my car, exactly that which I asked you. There is there. Suddenly I remembered, “What you ask, just claim” so I went very stealthily near the car making sure nobody was watching me. At the edge of the car, I put my hands, “In the name of Jesus, this is my car…this does not belong to that owner…this is mine, I claim it! Lord, how come that owner has my car?” So before I left that place, I made sure God would know exactly what Rolls Royce look like so I even prayed, “Lord, please let your angels take a good look at this car. They should not make a mistake.

I went back home. During my prayer time, I kneeled down to pray. While I was worshipping the Lord, I was waiting on Him. I heard that small still voice of the Lord, “What do you want, a Rolls Royce or a car?” I pondered in my heart, “Doesn’t God know what Rolls Royce looks like?” After some time, God repeated the same question.  When this same question was asked the third time, I felt in my heart that something was wrong. How could God asked this question three times? So then I prostrate before the Lord, “Lord why do you ask this question three times?” The Lord said, “Do you want a car that can go from point A to point B or a Rolls Royce that could puff up your flesh?” I was not asking a vehicle that goes from point A to point B because even the bicycle can do that job then I realize I was doing wrong. I was asking for a luxury to boost out my ego so I totally repented, “Lord please forgive my foolishness Lord. Please delete what I requested before I make a fresh application. Lord I want a car that can carry me from point A to point B even if a small mini miner, it’s fine but if you feel that it’s okay for me to walk from point A to point B, it’s also fine with me. So when I said that prayer, God was so pleased. And He blessed and answered my prayer. From 1985 to 2006, I was walking from point A to point B. You see how true teaching of God would be distorted from greedy gain.

It’s very difficult to identify the false prophet.

I wanted to share this story.  I have a friend who’s also my schoolmate who fell in love with a girl in their church. Unfortunately, both their parents did not approve of their relationship but they’re both madly in love with each other. When you’re madly in love, you’re mad; you’re blind, deaf, dumb stupid. None of your senses and logic work anymore. Your eyes see black and ugly but you think she’s so beautiful like a rose. Both of their family go to the same church, attend the same communion yet they devour each other like cat and dog. So he told me, “My parents respect you highly. If you say a thing, they would believe it.” I told my friend that as a matter of my calling there are some rules for a prophet. I said, “I cannot pray such things. Go and ask your pastor to pray for you.” He said, “My pastor is related to the girl’s family.” He persistently asked me so I fasted for three days and I prayed for this brother. The third day, the Lord appeared to me, “This is not my will that they marry.” The Lord explained what’ll happen to their life if they marry. After 6 months of their marriage, it will hit the rock and their marriage life will become like hell. I told my friend and he was so disappointed and so sad. He asked, “Can we pray again to God to change His mind?” I said, “No it can’t be done!” He said, “Let go of the hell because we’re so madly in love. It’s easy for you to say that because you’re a bachelor.” I said, “No it’s not easy for me to say that because I’m a bachelor but I’m the man of God. I’m not saying this as a bachelor but I am saying this as a man of God.”

“So what shall we do now?” he asked. I said, “Do you have a picture of her? Tear it to pieces and throw it away in the dustbin.”

“What?! Tear my heart?!”

“Since God said this is not His will, do you want to obey?” With tears gushed on his eyes, he tore it in slow motion and said, “Darling please forgive me.” So finally he tore the picture and gave it to me. I told him, “Come on let’s pray.” With tears in his eyes like a river, I prayed, “Lord destroy every thought and affection this boy had for this girl. Send him a good life partner according to your perfect will.” I looked at his eyes, tears flowed. I told him, “Cheer up, go home, rejoice. God will send you another good girl.” He left.At 12 midnight, my phone rang. This boy phoned me, “I was thinking what if I fast, can I change God’s will?…I’m going to try.” I answered, “It’s up to you.”

Three days later, he phoned me, with great excitement he said, “God had spoken to me. I can marry that girl!” I asked him, “How did God speak to you?” He answered, “Every day, I was thinking about that girl.”

“What you think, that will talk to you,” I said

“On the third day as I was waiting I could see the girl before my eyes. I could see her outreached her hand before me. When I saw her hand I knew that is the sign that God is telling me: this is my gift for you.”

I was surprised. I said, “Either the god that spoke to me is a true God or the god that spoke to you is a true God.” He ended the call. They got married. He walked away from home because both of their parents did not approve of their wedding. Eventually their parents forgave their children because that’s what parents are. You spare the rod, you spoil the child.

Exactly 6 months later, while I was preaching at their church, he approached me crying, “I regret not listening to you, my marriage life become like hell.” What he thought to be like princess became a Dracula in his life. His life become like hell for changing God’s will.

Beware of what you think, that will talk to you. You might see a vision that you think was from God but actually what you always think will talk to you. Your life will become like hell if you’ll change God’s will.

God hates divorces.

Now, I have met this man from Egypt who got divorce. I asked him how his marriage life and his wife are doing. He told me that his wife divorced him. This is how he spoke to his wife. “You divorce me, I did not divorce you. Until now I love you as far as my heart is concern, you are my only wife and I am waiting for you to come back.” In this case, even if their marriage is like hell the husband is willing to save their marriage and hoping to get it well. This is God’s will. I felt proud of this man. The scripture says that God hates divorces. No doubt about that. Of course some people come up with some other reason, whether they come up from compassionate grounds for divorce, I don’t know. When you come to God, He will judge every situation case by case. But the standard is this. God hates divorces. This comes from the lips of the Lord so be careful.
