MANIFESTATIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Speaker: Sadhu Sundar Sulvaraj

We are mere unprofitable or useless good-for-nothing-bumps servants.

READ: Ezekiel 37:7-10

It’s He that causes you to prophesy, to do miracles…

There are 9 kinds of manifestations:

1. Visions (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17) Visions of God is the basic foundation. We have to see our God, our creator first then He will let you experience other manifestations. He will show you the future. When our spiritual eyes are open, it can see not just God but also the Devil and the angels. Don’t narrow the gifting. Have an open heart. We’re so busy minding God’s business that we forgot to mind our own business. We’re so mindful of God keeping His word that we forgot to do our work. We must unscrew our minds.

No one can claim that they have the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit.

2. Prophesying (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17; Acts 2:4,7-11; 1 Corinthians 14:1; Acts 21:8-9; 1 Corinthians 14: 22-25)

3. Slain in the spirit (falling over like drunk)

What causes people to fall…?

The flesh can’t contain the powers of God that comes down.

(Genesis 2:21, 17:1; Numbers 22:31; Ezekiel 1:28, 3:23; Daniel 8:17-18; John 18:6; Acts 9:4)

4. Quaking and shaking (Exodus 19:18; Daniel 10:7; Isaiah 64:1-4)

It happens because of the presence of the almighty God or of an angel.

5. Drunk in the Spirit (John 4:5-29; John 7:37-39; Jeremiah 31:12)

Be careful of deceptions. (READ: Matthew 4:8) The devil can also lift you up in the ministry. Devil can also show you visions. So whether you get an invitation, always ask whether it comes from the devil or from God. READ: Psalms 104:15; Acts 2:13-15

6. Laughing in the Spirit (Genesis 17:17; Psalms 2:4; Luke 10:21; Acts 13:52)

7. Singing in the Spirit with beautiful oriented dancing (1 Corinthians 14:15; Ephesians 5:19; Samuel 6:14, 15; Psalms 149:3; 30:11)

8. Trance (Numbers 24:4; Acts 10:10; Acts 22:17)

Church lost the powers of the age to come because of its too much philosophical, intellectual and logical reasoning.

Trance is body unconsciousness. You won’t feel anything around in your surrounding because you’re too focused of the spiritual vision.

9. Speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44, 46; 19:6; Mark 16:6)

Book entitled “Into His Likeness” speaks about this gift of the Holy Spirit.

Speaking in tongues is our birth right so we can speak directly with God himself personally.

Advantages: it edifies you, builds you up, making you very sensitive to the Holy Spirit

(1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 1:20; Isaiah 28: 11-12)

Your voice changes into rough and tough as you speak in tongues. That’s the time He speaks to you with the same avenue and answers back to you. And when you pause a moment and become very quiet and wait for God, that’s the time He gives you the interpretation.

(Isaiah 28: 11, 12; Ezekiel 47:1)

The communication link is called “tongues.”

The rivers of the Holy Spirit flows at 4 levels. (Ezekiel 47: 1-5)

1. ankles

2. knees

3. loins

4. neck deep

The flow of the Holy Spirit is increasing from level to level, not a torrent flood. The angels of God assigned to measure your capacity to receive whether to go higher to the next level or just stay where you are.The capacity in which the Holy Spirit’s anointing flows /increases depends on your capacity to mature and grow in the things of God and your capacity to believe and receive. If you only believe in ankle level, it’d just stay in the ankle. When they measure, they’ll say “Oh this guy does not believe anything beyond that.” So they’ll only release ankle level anointing in his life.  But the moment they are already ready, they’ll release them, “Ok, you’re ready for the next level.” As a child learning to swim grow a little longer, you’ll venture to try to swim in knees.

(Genesis 1:2; Hosea 6:3)

Next generation must have a child-like faith that implicitly obeys without asking questions. If Jesus told you, “Sit”, sit. If He told you to stand, stand and would not ask “why?” Walk hand in hand with heaven above.

Finally, one angel explained to me the meaning of the former and latter rain. Former rain is our fellowship that comes into glory whilst latter rain is “your time”.

Natural and spiritual will work together in the sense of obedience. You must be God-seeking people and great lover of God.

COOKIES AND CUPCAKES-  –  – persecuted but not abandoned

May 1, 2014–I dream of disease that turns one man’s foot black. It swells. The infected man can’t move; he lay on the ground. The woman who touched him was infected, too.

Another dream: I was promoted in the workplace though I was just new and young. I assigned them tasks. They confidently asked me what to do and so I taught them.

I was given a large cake in the party while the rest receives a smaller one.  They compete to have the best but only got the contrary while I got the best one though I simply waited for the host of the party to give me.

Thoughts to ponder: Matthew 5:3-10 says,

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

HOSPITAL  -There was a patient that soon turns into skeleton. We saw the broken parts of the skeleton on the bed and soon I saw the lower extremities turns into dust and was blown by the air.

. . .

May 3, 2014—I dreamed of different events but what seemed significant is this: there’s a sea. I was on a vessel. I wanted to reach the shore but I am doubtful to jump off the water thinking I might get drown while looking a seemingly deep water. On my surprise, it was so hollow that you almost see the sand beneath.

Thoughts to ponder : Matthew 14:25 – 31 says, “During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw Him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” He said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Faith and deeds: James 2: 24 says, “You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.”

James 2:21-22 says, “…Abraham was considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar…you see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.”

By faith: Hebrews 11:1, 6 says, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see… and without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

. . .

May 4, 2014—I dreamed of wrong loading station. I was inside a school or somewhere when we’re told to go toother place we don’t know for a significant event.I rushed to secure my important stuff like large photo frame with a photo of me wearing my toga and graduation gown. Other stuff includes my favorite clothes. I did not think the implication. Out of my carelessness due to rushing wanting to make things done, I almost lost all the baggage. My luggage were accidentally included in theirs for cargo without labels and recipient and had unknown destination. So I and my sister went to a bus terminal to look for my other classmates. Thank God I immediately saw the large photo frame that caught our attention and so we get there and get my stuff.

Thoughts to ponder: Love, for the Day Is Near:

Romans 13:8-14 says, “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”

A call to persevere: Jude 1:18 – 21 says, “They said to you, ‘In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”

. . .

OPEN FIELD – I was inside a large open field where some athletes are practicing and some others were playing. I saw one player; a girl when she kicked the ball had also hitsomething (a small plastic chair) which made her silently cried for pain. Then I saw one coach insertinghis head inside the athletes’ close wooden room telling, “That’s technically foul! Here you must focus. You must leave behind other stuff, other concerns. You are here to play, to perform your duty. You must focus. Your responsibility is to focus here inside. Then, I saw another coach did the same then another one. Plenty of them were doing the same thing.

Thoughts to ponder: Hebrews 13:17 says, “Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.”

Hebrews 10:35- 39 says, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. For in just a little while, ‘He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and saved.”

 . . .

We’re in a university campus with my college schoolmates and classmates, mostly my friends. I was offering cupcakes to them. I was tempted to get one or selfishly chose the best one but the moment I saw my friends, my heart was tendered so I offer them leaving me almost emptied. To my surprise, a chocolate chip appeared on my plate. I was about to eat it when my surrounding transformed. It turns into a beach with seawall. Our building was still there but it becomes an open field leaving only the floor. I saw a very long gap between our post and the next post. I saw many chocolates there resembling the cookie I’m holding. The floors of the post at the opposite side were becoming chocolates I’m holding. I wanted to go to the other side but the gap is so wide and the floor is so high, I couldn’t jump off. I thought, “If we only have a bridge…”Then I woke up.

Thoughts to ponder: Our Bridge is none other than Jesus Christ himself. He is our bridge to salvation…to heaven, to our next destination which is more real than what we see now in the world.

Persecuted for faith/ belief: Hebrews 10:32 -34 says, “Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. Something you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.”

Now, let’s walk by faith and not by sight. Is not spiritual food tastier and delightful than cakes and cupcakes in the natural world? Let us then desire lasting rewards in heaven than mere gratifying our worldly passions and desires.
