“Ending with a blank space on the blank sheet”
It’s so easy to do, easy to explain but what makes it hard is when you started to share but end up with them staring at you blankly. Obviously, neither you’re good at explaining nor effective at all at your teaching skill. It’s just they can’t relate with the topic because they haven’t encountered the topic/s in the past yet; they can’t connect or relate it in their own selves.
Amongst important topics or subjects, that I know we teachers of foreigners (I don’t need to mention any nationality here)-[sic] mustn’t open up not because of the shallow reason that it’s too boring or critical, but because we have to respect their own RESPECTS for FREEWILL which I hate to condemned because I don’t want to fuel any religious or dogmatic warfare especially for those who don’t have any beliefs of GOD, is RELIGION.
So, let me start with…
…when you relate the present chaos in the world—both past, present and future warfare to the “END OF THE WORLD” thingy, and of course we can’t just be theoretical with the word of GOD since it’s our guide based on faith, so we believers on our part must read and share some verses in the Book of Revelation regarding the last days so that they (the unbelievers) can understand that you’re not just making stories base on your own imagination but guided by the Holy Spirit.
The scriptures say in the Book of Revelation 20:11-15 (King James Version):
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The Book of Matthew 24: 1-51 (New International Version) speaks about “The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times.”
1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; everyone will be thrown down.” 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequalled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equalled again.
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. 29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b]
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
“The Day and Hour Unknown”
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
A dream came into reality
When I was in high school, I happened to dream of Angels and a man in purely white shiny robe walking down the stairs from heaven with lots of people awaiting for HIM, then I saw myself from the crowd also was struggling to climb the stairs. What made it hard to climb was the structure itself. Each steps’ gaps were about 3-4 feet, so those who have tiny legs couldn’t climb on each steps. In my case, I struggled to climb but lots of people around me were pulling each other just like a crab wanting to climb on top just to be saved. So crab mentality is no longer abstract in that particular scene of my dream. I eventually woke up not knowing if I was save or not in that what they call “rapture” because the last scene was my feet being held by someone, the reason I couldn’t rise up on the next step. I wonder, Was it real?
Another dream came when I’m in college (freshmen) and it was seemingly realistic which turns into a nightmare. Good thing, I woke up. That dream is kind’ a similar to the first I’d had, only the setting was different. The clock is running so fast. Lots of people were panicking to ride on the bus or else they’ll be left out and will suffer from the devastation that I at my young age in that dream don’t really understood what’s happening. When I knew that we’re not just in a race, I was alarmed. I immediately thought about my mom, my sister and the rest of my relatives. Where are they? Are they riding on a different bus? My mind panicked. While our bus was in rush, I suddenly saw my family riding on the different bus. They’re together and I’m singled out. Somehow, I prayed that we’ll reach the finish line before the time sets at 12 midnight. The climax was, we’re aiming to reach the finish line but the time is running and it’s counting. My family’s bus reached the finished line just on time but I wonder what happened on my bus because I suddenly woke up from my dream by some noise. When I share that dream to some senior and of course to my mom, the same opinion were said, “You have to take cautious of your relationship with GOD. Maybe you’re being held away from HIM because of your busyness and other priorities. God loves you so much because HE is giving you a warning.” And so, I was just so thankful that I had had the courage to share my strange dream without them thinking I gone crazy.
Another dream came, which I thought would be the last. This time was totally different because I had had cardiac arrest after I struggled on a particular scene. I heard few testimonies about near-death situations, but I couldn’t believe it myself because it’s kind of strange and others were also based on movies which I believed to be purely fictional. However, to see and hear had proven it right when I encountered it myself.
It came out to be like, in my dream I was being bellowed and blown by a strong wind saying “Come on, it’s your time….” I struggled not to go but I failed. While I’m flying by the wind’s strong force, my heart ached. I couldn’t breathe. Then, I started to visualize myself, my life and the time moved back in the past from where it starts like a bullet. I couldn’t explain how it felt because I was almost got deaf by the sounds I heard while electromagnetic waves were still working through my nerves. Then I saw lots of numbers moving. I couldn’t count it because my mind was being tortured by the strong force I couldn’t understand what was. Then, still like a bullet, the numbers started its counting from millions to 20, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 and negatives…..The last time I remembered from that scene was I saw myself on my bed choked out and suffocated after I heard a loud deafening bell.
Next scene was no longer in my bed but in a wide hall all white with its walls and ceilings so wide. I saw myself wearing white clothes. Suddenly, a book appeared in my hand. A man in white clothes also appeared to me to read the Book. I saw my name written in it and next to it was letters formed “KEEPER OF THE APOSTLES” which I until now couldn’t understand. After which, I was told to go back to where I came so I can make used of my purpose. Finally, I travelled from space down into my bed where my body laid. The transition was so torturing because my soul entered my body back that it bounced back for its strength. I felt the strength and right then I knew that I wasn’t just dreaming. Still catching up my breath and holding my chest due to unbearable pain from within, I whispered some prayers. Weeks after the incident, my heart was still in pain. I hardly breathe. They said, I had experienced cardiac arrest due to emotional tension right before I slept. Emotional tension as I learned is due to stress, depression or frustration which you haven’t set free by the help of your defence mechanism.
The Holy Book, churchgoers and faith
To sort all, of course, we can’t be unmindful of what’s in the Bible because all the works and testimonies written in it are true and I can attest to it based on my experience that it is true. For those Christians now labelled as just Christians by name, mere churchgoers and worse, are ignorant of the BIBLE, no need to conduct experiments as what scientists always do to confront what they thought of as relevant of their beliefs based on NATURALISTIC- HUMANISTIC theories, because God himself will show HIS wonders more than you could think of if you’re thirsty of knowledge. For it is written in Matthew 6: 7-8, “Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will opened to you. For everyone who asks will receive, and anyone who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to those who knock.”
The dream and the gift…
Somehow even until now, I still could dream of some strange events that came into reality such as funerals or death, accidents, weddings, career, etcetera not just of me but also of others who are close to me. I just wonder how JOSEPH the dreamer (in the Old Testament) felt when he was given the gift of predicting the future through his dreams. Was he ever afraid or doubtful of it? All of us have gifts. It’s just how we make used of it to glorify GOD who is the author of all gifts. To GOD be the glory! (nejnalz)
